Patricia ?Pat ?Sax Haugen December 30, 1935 ? October 17 2006 Patricia ?Pat? Haugen, 70 of Kennewick, was called home to her heavenly father in the early hours of October 17, 2006. She died at Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane after having complications from her recent femoral artery surgery. She struggled with her health over the last few years. She is now free of cancers, pain and other ailments and is at peace. Pat was born to Roy and Alice Smith on December 30, 1935 in San Bernardino CA. She grew up in the Siletz River area on the Oregon Coast and has made Kennewick her home fro the past 40 + years. Pat enjoyed crafting and was very good at it. She made many items that will be cherished by her friends and family. Pat was also a sports enthusiast. She loved watching NASCAR and her favorite driver is Jeff Burton. This year he will win for her!! She also enjoyed watching the Mariners as well as football and basketball. Pat was preceded in death by her loving husband Al. He was a wonderful companion and caregiver to her. Now they are together once again. Pat?s mother, father, brother Ronnie Smith and son-in- law Rick Kirby also precede her in death. Pat is survived by her three daughters: Lori and Roy Masterson of Greenacres, Wa; Mary Kirby-Moate and Debbie Sax of Kennewick; seven grandchildren; Holly and Miles Wilkins, Kristy Kirby and Tyler Stephens of Kennewick, Alexis Kirk, Clark and Ryan Masterson all of Spokane; and one great grandchild, Kayla Wilkins, with another due in May. Pat?s family would like to extend their thanks to her fiends and neighbors who helped her to remain in the home she loved. In lieu of flowers please contribute to your favorite charity.
