Obituary

Pamela Ann O'Kielly Byrd was born February 20th, 1956, to James Patrick O'Kielly and Kathleen Leona O'Kielly (McLachlan) in Tacoma, WA. At Lakes High School in Lakewood, WA, she was on the drill team and was their Senior Representative. She graduated in 1974, before continuing her education at Washington State University with a certificate of Personnel Psychology & Human Resource Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences.

The decades of her marriage to Dick can be dated back to when they first met while in grade school. Their initial meeting took place on the playground of the Starlight Drive-In movie theatre in Lakewood. They would also spot each other at the grocery store, the pharmacy and at the Lakewood Theatre. The Lakewood Theatre open in 1937 and closed as a movie theatre in 1984.

Pam was a retired business manager and had worked for the State of Washington for over 38 years. Pam loved God, her husband Dick, her children and her grandchildren. In her spare time, she especially enjoyed gardening. Pam recently became involved in kayaking and had great fun fishing from it.

Pam is preceded in death by her parents; James and Kathleen. She is survived by her loving husband Dick, daughters; Dallas of Richland, WA, Molli of Vancouver, WA, Rachel of Albuquerque, NM and son Adam of Meridian, ID.

That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:15
