Omar Vargas, 22 of Kennewick, Washington, was peacefully welcomed as another angel into the arms of our Heavenly Father and surrounded by loving family on April 1, 2014 after a strong battle with cancer. A beloved husband, father, son, brother and uncle, his life was taken far too soon. Omar was born on September 5, 1991. He was raised by wonderful parents in Tri-Cities for 18 years. Omar was a loving, thoughtful, spirited person, and yet, at times stubborn. He was full of life and loved his Cowboys team and stayed true to them even when they lost. He believed in being reincarnated and wished to be a sea turtle to swim and feel free. He loved family vacations, amusement parks, water parks and was very adventurous. He enjoyed visiting big cities and said if he ever moved he wanted to move to San Francisco. He was the type of person to try and bring family together whether it was just to hang out at home or go to the park and barbeque. He was a humble person and didn't need much to make him happy. Omar would say "I am not going to lose the battle to cancer. I'm simply going to win the blessing of eternal life in Heaven." God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Rosary will be held 6 pm, Friday, April 4, 2014, with viewing from 4 to 8pm, at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union Street, Kennewick. Christian Mass will be Saturday, April 5th, 10 am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 520 S. Garfield Street, Kennewick.
