Our beloved mother, Olive "Ann" Anderson, walked into the arms of our Heavenly Father a little after noon on Friday, May 17, 2024. Hers was a life well lived.

She was born December 23, 1936 in Henderson, KY to Harlan & Mary Ann Magruder. She married Larry R Anderson in February of 1956, and they had 3 children. She grew up in Indiana and moved to WA State in 1978.

Ann was creative and we'll always remember and cherish her beautiful handmade cards. She loved her family, her church family, and her friends fiercely and few things could keep her from attending and serving in her church, Grace Baptist in Kennewick, at which she was a member for almost 38 years. She truly lived the verse Mark 12:30-31 as she loved the Lord her God with all her heart, and she loved others.

She had a kind heart, was a wonderful mother, and a dear friend.

She is survived by her daughter Joan J Scheuffele of Federal Way, daughter Angela K Cole (Larry) of Kennewick, son Rodney L Anderson (Julie) of Olympia, grandson Timothy M Scheuffele (Beccy) of Tacoma, great granddaughter Addison M Scheuffele, brother-in-law Ronald W Anderson of Evansville, IN, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and her beloved church family.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Larry R Anderson, parents Harlan & Mary Ann Magruder, and brother Harlan Magruder Jr.

Our family wants to thank the ICU nurses and staff at Kadlec Hospital for their kindness, compassion, and the amazing care and respect they gave our sweet mother. We were awed and humbled by how you cared for our mother as well as for each of us.

A memorial service will be held June 1, 2024, 12:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church on 10th & Union in Kennewick. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann's name to Grace Baptist Church.
