Odessie Lou Mann, 90, passed away November 12th, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Floydada, Texas on November 28, 1924. She is survived by her daughter Jan Turner and husband Dave of Pasco, son John L. Mann and wife Barbara from Denver, grandchildren Randy Winsor and wife Debbie of Pasco, Steve Winsor of Arizona, Scott Mann and wife Amy of Denver, and Diana Mann of Denver; great-grandchildren Trina, Dylan and Paris Winsor, Christopher and Patrick Lamb, Lester Pack, Tyler Bagala, Morgan and Logan Mann; great-great-granddaughter Francess Irena, just recently born, whom Dessie was anxiously awaiting her arrival before her passing, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Odessie was preceded in death by her sister Nancy Kent, brothers Luke, Jack and Virgil Kuykendall, and her loving husband of over 70 years, John Mann. Dessie and Johnny spent many of their younger years in Canyon, Texas, where she owned and operated the Cowboy Café. She was an excellent cook and loved baking her homemade pies. She also worked in several local restaurants here and did clerical work in Kennewick. Her and Johnny both played guitars, along with the rest of their musical families. We enjoyed so many fun musical get togethers over the years, we will always cherish those special memories. She loved her church and Pastor Ron. She especially loved working with the children there. She was always there to lend a helping hand, so loving and giving in every way. We will so miss her beautiful smile and great sense of humor. We would like to thank her family for all the loving care they provided. She was so grateful for everyone. We would also like to thank Dr. James Campbell, her family doctor and friend for over 40 years, Hospice at The Chaplaincy, with a special thanks to Lynn for helping me get through this journey, also Alta for all her time she volunteered. Memorial service will be held Friday, November 20, 2015, 11:00 a.m., at Hillview Baptist Church, 1621 W 27th Ave., Kennewick. Graveside services will follow 2:00 p.m., at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 10th and Union Street, Kennewick.
