Norman Ralph Blundon passed peacefully after a battle with cancer on January 8, 2017. Norman was born on December 15, 1932 to Byron and Mary Blundon in Waldo, Kansas. At the young age of nine Norman and his family relocated to Kimberly, Idaho. Norman served in the Army as a military policeman from 1950 to 1953 receiving a Marksmanship badge. Norman married his first wife, Yvonne and together they had two children Rod and Marilyn. Norm always enjoyed the outdoors. Fishing, hunting, and camping were favorite hobbies. Norman served the City of Pasco as a police officer from 1960 to 1977. Shortly after retiring as Sargent from the Pasco Police Department, Norman moved to Spokane where he met his wife Beverly. Norm married Beverly in 1979. They spent many years traveling the United States and Mexico. In 1998 they purchased property in northern Idaho for their vacation home on Lake Pend Oreille in Garfield Bay where Norman enjoyed fishing, socializing or just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Throughout his life, Norman was a jack of all trades. He drove semi hauling grain and scrap iron, sold watermelons, and was a traveling salesman selling horse tack and small building materials. Never seeming to fully retire, Norman enjoyed being a boat mechanic working for Small Craft Services in Garfield Bay until two years ago. Norman was preceded in death by his parents Byron and Mary and his sister Ila. He is survived by his wife Beverly Blundon, and his children Rod Blundon (Coleen) and Marilyn Stottlemyre (Jim), Beverly's children Laurie, Cheryl (Frank), Rene, Rick (Nora) and Teresa, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service and reception will be held on Friday, January 13th at 11:00am at Kennewick Baptist Church located at 2425 W. Albany in Kennewick.
