Norma Marie Pfliger peacefully passed away on November 3, 2023
Norma was born on November 23, 1937 in Nisland, South Dakota. In 1950 her family moved to Pasco Washington. In the summer of 1952 she met her husband Ray. They went on their first date to the Benton Franklin County fair. On February 26, 1955 they were married. They had 4 children together. Norma stayed home to care for her children. She worked as a seamstress out of their home during those years. In 1974 she went to Claire's Beauty School. After passing her exams, she went to work at Sheerpower. She also worked for The Brass comb and A'J's till she retired.
Norma enjoyed spending time with her grand children. She loved the outdoors, gardening, fishing, camping, collecting artifacts, sewing, quilting, knitting and crocheting.
Norma and Ray took many trips to Las Vegas, Reno and Laughlin, Nevada, with friends and family. They bowled together, walked the Pasco bike path daily and watched Gonzaga's basketball team, Mariners and the Seahawks regularly. They were married for 68 years.
Norma is loved and will be remembered and missed by her children, Randy Pfliger (Cindy), Tim Pfliger (Chris), and Linda Rumsey (Bob), grandchildren, Christi, Aaron, Lisa, Clifford, Melinda, Brittny, Stephanie, Cody, Chelsea, and Cami, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray and son Kevin.
Services will be held at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home in Kennewick, Washington on November 17 at 1 pm.
