She loved to tell of the 100, 000 miles they put on the motor coach traveling as far south as parts of Mexico and as far north as Alaska. They visited nearly every state at least once except Hawaii. She would not fly because ?God never gave her wings? and ?taking a boat that far and back would not be much fun?. Nilah and Henry spent a couple of years as ?snow birds? and finally settled in Mesa Arizona. After Henry?s death in 1997 Nilah continued to live in Arizona until her family decided in 2005 that she needed to be closer to family so that she could be cared for.
