NEVA WATKINS Neva Watkins died on March 24, 2009 at Kennewick Life Care Center. She was born at home in Frontier County, Nebraska, on August 7, 1916, to Willis and Meda Towne. After graduating from Stockville Nebraska High School, she married Joe Watkins; they farmed near Cambridge, Nebraska, where their daughter Kae was born. In 1936 the family moved to the Highlands and later to the Garden Tracts in Kennewick, Washington. Neva regarded homemaking as a career and was a loyal friend. As a member of Althea Rebekah Lodge #182 for over fifty years, she served many years as Financial Secretary or Treasurer. Neva was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe, sisters Greta and Nina, brothers Loyal, Arnold, and Bud. She is survived by daughter Kae Pete Hopkins in Kennewick; grandson Mark Sheri Fullagar, great grandson Dillen Fullagar in Snoqualmie; as well as nephews Gary Danielson in Olympia, Lyle Danielson in Marysville, and Wayne Danielson in Port Angeles; nieces Rosemary Estes of Kennewick, Opal Don Stoops in Soap Lake; grandniece Gayle Art Napier in Kennewick; and extended family. Viewing will be Friday, March 27, at the Chapel of the Falls, 314 W. First Avenue, Kennewick, from 10 a.m. to 12. By Neva's request there will be no services.
