Obituary

When I first met Neal, it was at his mom's home on Paca place in Rockville Maryland. He was extremely shy - wouldn’t make much eye contact with me. In time he became talkative and very funny, he had long blonde hair and was quite athletic. He was a hardworking man, went to Rockville High School in Maryland, then on to the University of Maryland to study horticulture. That did not suit him so he dropped out and decided to do farming on Mr. Butts farm, in Buckey town, Maryland.

He was also a wonderful dancer, best I ever met, I swear he could dance like Fred Astaire and boy did we dance and laugh a lot. He proposed out in a corn field in his Corvette, He had a great love of cars - particularly his green convertible corvette, he gave that car up to move out to Colorado to work with his brother to try their hand at worm farming haha, well that didn’t work imagine that, he worked for his uncle selling tools, that was a mistake. By then we had had our first son, Andrew Damien Bruce—that boy was his pride and joy. He went on to work for Bechtel. My Dad Andrew Vizzi got him a job working as a start-up engineer in the late 70s. This he enjoyed and excelled at. Then we welcomed our second son Archie Allen Bruce, who was also his pride and joy, he was crazy about the little boy, carried him everywhere.

We eventually moved from the east coast to the west coast for a job with Bechtel again and have been here ever since. He will be deeply missed; he is preceded in death by his mother & father & sister. His remaining older brother Doug Bruce is still with us, the sons Andrew & Archie & myself Tamsen Bruce, may he be at peace with his Lord and savior.
