Natalie Anne Dimock Hobbs, our loving Mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed from this life on February 15th 2024 at the age of 95.

Natalie was born July 27th, 1928 in a yellow farmhouse, her family's home in Hebron Maine. Her parents were Hamlet Scrantum Dimock and Nettie Sawyer Dimock.

Natalie was raised in Hebron and Minot Maine. As a child she loved to write stories and draw portraits. She was quite talented. Her family still owns some of her early drawings. She enjoyed skiing down the pasture on homemade skis and swinging on the swing that hung from a tree limb. Natalie had wonderful memories of growing up close to her Grandma and Grandpa

Charles and Inez Sawyer. They taught her many life skills and built her faith in God. She would tell her daughters, Kelly and Lori, many stories about her Fathers farm. Her fond memories of riding on her father's shoulders as he rounded up the cows. Natalie liked shoes and pretty clothes and liked to design them. She later made many clothes and doll clothes for her daughters.

Natalie worked as a lab technician in Bangor ME. after graduating from high school. She also worked at LaVerdiere's, Bartash cards and gifts and Margo's Dress Shop in Norway Maine.

Most of her life she was a wonderful homemaker creating a happy, loving home for her family.

She was a great cook and a fine seamstress. She could knit, embroider, garden and paint. She also completed a large body of genealogy, family history research and writing. Natalie was an excellent dancer. She loved to read, write letters, swim, shop, sightsee, spend time with family and friends, go to the movies and out to eat.

Natalie moved with her late husband, Robert Hobbs, to Washington State in 1996 where her daughter Lori resides. There they lived at the Luther retirement Center in Richland WA where they made many friends.

Natalie had a strong Christian faith and was a member for many years at the Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church of Richland.

She had a fun sense of humor and was fully interested in life. Her personality was so bright and full of life that when she arrived to visit it felt like the sun came out and the party was on! Natalie loved her family fervently and unconditionally. She did as much to help wherever she could. She also treasured her many friends.

After moving to WA. Natalie would make trips back to Maine every summer without fail to spend time with her wonderful daughter Kelly, her many precious Grandchildren, other relatives and friends. And to have lobster! Natalie loved nature, especially the Maine coast, Ocean beaches, lakes and rivers.

She resided at Brookdale Meadow Springs in Richland WA the last 12 years of her life after a hard but successful battle with lung cancer.

Natalie is survived by her daughters, Kelly Maureen Abbott Paquet of Oakland, ME. Lori Lynn Abbott Tenvold of Benton City, WA, and Stepsons, Eben Hobbs and Chris Weston of South Paris-Norway, ME. Natalie's Brother Robert Dimock and sister-in-law June Dimock of Springvale, UT, Grandchildren (in order of age) Kristi Morgan-Whiting, Billy L Brown, Kevin Morgan, Cameron Morgan, Colin Morgan. Many Great grandchildren, well-loved nieces and nephews and their families.

Natalie is predeceased by her little brother Richard Dimock, her late husband Robert Hobbs, and her dear Sister Joan Dimock Updegrove.

A heartfelt thank you to the many at Brookdale Meadow Springs who were so kind, friendly and caring to Natalie while she lived there. Also to Chaplaincy Hospice of Tri Cities for their wonderful care and compassion for Natalie in the last few months of her life.

We have no doubt that Heaven is an even brighter and happier place with her there.
