Obituary

Nadean McClellan Curtis Rigby passed away peacefully on March 23rd, 2025, in Idaho Falls, ID. She was born on May 27th, 1938, in Salt Lake City, UT. Nadean's family made the move to the Tri-Cities when she was a young girl. She attended Kennewick schools and graduated from Kennewick High School in 1956.

Soon after graduation on August 13th, 1956, she and Arvon Benjamin Curtis were married in the Salt Lake City Temple. They had three children, David, Cary and Betsy. They moved numerous times throughout the Seattle area, settling back here again in 1973.

She dedicated her life to her family, Church and her art. She was an amazingly talented artist, accomplishing any artistic venture she tried. She also attended Columbia Basin College and earned her Associate in Arts Degree.

Sadly, in January of 1982, Arvon passed away and left Nadean a widow at the young age of 43. On her own now she found work in Banking Customer Service. Nadean soon met Clinton Lon Rigby and they married in 1985. Nadean was blessed with the opportunity to raise another family of two sons, Nathan and Mathew. In 2015 Clint passed away and left Nadean a heart-broken widow again.

Her life had much loss but Nadean was never empty. Nadean had so much strength and kindness. Her life was full of blessings. Nadean spent her remaining years with family and her pups Lucky and Cowboy.

Nadean is survived by her brothers, Warren McClellan and Jim McClellan. Children; David (Carla) Curtis, Cary (Erick) Curtis, Betsy (Jay) Marsden, Nathan (Raina) Rigby, Mathew (Becky) Rigby, 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
