Murrel Petry 70 passed away on October 30, 2023 in Kennewick, WA after nearly 2 years of battling cancer. He was born on December 25, 1952 in Waterville, WA to Merwin Petry and June Allison. He graduated from Kennewick High School in 1971.

Murrel was an electrician in the Navy from 1972-1978. He retired from CH2M Hill as a stationary operating engineer in 2017. He enjoyed riding his Harley, fly fishing, playing guitar, attending C3 Church, woodworking and refurbishing cuckoo clocks. He was also, an active member of CMA and The American Legion.

Murrel is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (John) White of Richland, WA and son, Michael (Brenda) Petry of Kennewick, WA. He has 3 beautiful grandchildren; Weston Whtie, Macey White and Blair Petry. Brothers; Ken (Cathy) Petry, Loy Long and Allan (Karen) Chrisman. Sisters; Johnna Ebanks, Ellen Petry, Patti (Brad) Neuroth and Karan (Ralph) Edgington. Also, Penny Petry and special friend Cindy.

Murrel is preceded in death by his parents Merwin Petry and June Allison, brother Leonard Petry and his step-mother Dorothy Petry.

Graveside services will be held at Mueller's Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Kennewick, WA on Saturday December 2, 2023 at 1pm. A Celebration of Life will be held afterwards at Highland Grange located at 1500 S. Union St. Kennewick, WA.
