Monta ?Monte? D. Winkle was called home to our Lord on September 18, 2006. He was 91 years, nine months and two days old. He was born on December 16, 1914 in Everton, Missouri to Albert and Ivy Winkle. Monte spent his career working for the Railroad. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, one brother, two sisters and one grandson, Rick. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Alma Winkle; two daughters, Lavena Bill Brown and Phyllis DeWayne Jones, both of Newport, Oregon; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He leaves three sisters in California and one in Missouri and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 22, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Mueller?s Chapel of the Falls 314 W. 1st in Kennewick, Washington with Graveside services to follow at Riverview Heights Cemetery, also in Kennewick. Viewing will be held Thursday, September 21, 2006 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Friday, also at Chapel of the Falls.
