Milo Duane Woollum, known to most as Dewey, passed away at home in Pasco, WA on November 27, 2024, surrounded by family. He was 84. Dewey was born February 9, 1940 in Limon, CO to Milo R. and Edith M. (Brewer) Woollum. His family moved to La Grande, OR when he was about five years old. Dewey was raised in La Grande, OR graduating from La Grande High School in 1959. Here he met and married the love of his life, Linda Lentz, on August 19, 1961.

After high-school, Dewey started his plumbing apprenticeship in La Grande before he was transferred to Richland, WA. Dewey and Linda settled in the Tri-Cities area and have been there ever since, over 60 years.

Dewey was a proud union member of local 598. The highlight of his professional career came in 1997 when he had the opportunity to work on the Seattle Mariners new home, Safeco Field (currently T-Mobile Park).

Dewey loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He enjoyed barbecuing in the summer and during the winter, he could be found in his shop in front of a wood stove with his dog at his side. Dewey also enjoyed playing cards with family, cribbage with Local 598 members, and working puzzles at the dining room table. Their dog, Lucy, found comfort on his lap as they napped together in his recliner.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter Lynne (Patti), son Todd, and daughter-in-law Diana; grandchildren Austin, Elise, Elijah, and Ellie; sister Barbara Manns; nieces JoAnne and Teri; nephews David and Rick; and brother-in-law Wayne Lentz (Connie).

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Woollum; and nephews, Tim and Jon.

Graveside service will be held at Mueller's Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1401 S. Union Street, Kennewick, WA on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
