Obituary

Mildred E. Manship, a longtime resident of Kennewick, Washington went home from Guardian Angels on January 10, 2011 at the age of 78. Mildred was born in Sitka, Alaska January 10, 1933. She loved the outdoors, berry picking, fishing and hunting, singing and reading. She instilled strength and pride into her children. She did this by encouraging them to walk proud, be the best you can be and that all things were possible through Christ. She was a great cheerleader inspiring all four children to go to college and to follow their dreams. Over the years Mildred has touched many lives with her strength and by sharing her belief in God. She loved the Lord with all of her heart. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, three brothers and her beloved husband, Oval known as Blackie to many. She is survived by her brothers, Judson and Stacy; sister, Viola; daughter, Joyce, son, Steve and wife Jeri, daughter, Esther and son Michael and wife Melanie; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren. The Manship family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff at Guardian Angels, especially the Tudor House and to Tri-City Chaplaincy at Hospice.
