Michelle Yvonne Anderson-Moore passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Tuesday, June 16th, 2026. Michelle faced cancer with fierce determination, positivity, inspiration and humor. She chose to share her journey on social media so that it might help others. Michelle was born July 6, 1967, in Kennewick, Washington. She spent much of her life working and raising her children in the Tri-Cities area.

Michelle is survived by her parents Neil "Andy" and Betty Anderson, her three children, Curtis, Collin and Sara Moore, her brother and sister-in-law Robert and Sharee Anderson, and niece Paxton, and the light of her life, her grandson Michael Dean Singleton.

Michelle got a Bachelor of Science in Radiological Science and worked as an Exercise & Coordination Lead for the Washington State Department of Health as a Radiation Health Physicist 3. She worked for the State of Washington for over 28 years. She loved her job and the people with whom she worked. She was given a special award and honored fondly as "The Cookie Lady" and for over 20 years of Training, Support and Friendship, presented by the men and women the 10th CST. She loved keeping people safe and often, to the annoyance of her friends, would note how certain facilities did not have appropriate safety exits or security measures. Her commitment to safety often bled into her personal life, as she often "ordered" friends to text when they left and arrived on road trips to ensure their safety. She leaves a legacy of excellence in training events, work ethic and safety awareness!

Michelle loved to read. She shared her love of reading with others by reviewing books on her socials. Oftentimes the authors would chime in and sometimes send her signed books or give updates on their next books. Michelle created connections with people everywhere she went. She brought joy into every room. She loved to bring light to someone's day. Helping others brought her joy. She worked tirelessly to help her children and those she loved. She worked in retail and loved clothes. Michelle had a great sense of style. She was a cabi stylist for 13 years, styling and serving her customers with care and deep compassion. Michelle leaves a legacy of style, customer service, fun and dedicated work ethic.
