Michael "Mike" John Sullivan passed away on November 22, 2015 at home in Richland, Washington. He was born August 31, 1959 in Monterey Park, California to Sharon Margaret Purvis and James Donald Sullivan. Mike joined the United States Navy after graduating from Workman High School in City of Industry, California. He was an air traffic controller and a mechanic. After leaving the service, Mike worked a variety of jobs in California until moving to the Tri-Cities in 1993. Shortly after moving to the Tri-Cities, Mike began working for Fred Meyer as a receiving clerk. It was there he met the love his life, Melinda "Moe" Bos. They have been together for the last 18 years. Mike loved being a father to their son, Tylar. The two were Best Buds. Mike was a sports fanatic and golf enthusiast. Mike was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Jean Sullivan and his grandparents, Donovan and Frances Sullivan and Maxine Purvis and Claude Purvis. Mike is survived by Melinda "Moe" Bos; son, Tylar Sullivan; his parents Sharon and James Sullivan; brothers, David and William Sullivan; sister Beth Kirk; nieces, Hannah and Annika Kirk and Crystal Manes; nephew, James Sullivan; great niece Nikki Thompson; and many other extended family members and friends A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 640 N. Columbia Center Blvd in Kennewick. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mike's honor to The Responding to Autism Center, 4206 W 24th Ave Suite B101, Kennewick, WA 99338 or to a charity of your choice.
