Michael Eugene McCoskey passed away on Friday, June 12th. He was 71 years old. Michael was born in Salem Indiana on September 6th, 1948 and graduated from Pasco High School in 1967. He then went on to serve overseas in the U.S. Air Force, before starting his 30-year career for the City of Richland, where he retired in 2005. Michael enjoyed playing tennis with his brother, vacationing with his family, cooking and dining out, and spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Jay Burke McCoskey. Michael is survived by his mother, Betty McCoskey and his loving wife of 40 years, Karen McCoskey. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Katie McCoskey and granddaughter Isabella Gorman, whom he loved dearly, his stepdaughters, Wendy Andres and Amber Smith, his brother Roy Jay McCoskey, sister Rita Tollison, as well as many cousins and nieces. Due to Covid restrictions at this time, there will be no public service until further notice. Because Michael took great pride in working on the parks and grounds in Richland, and loved nature and the outdoors, memorial donations may be made to The Washington State Parks Foundation or any park of your choice, that you feel would honor his memory.
