Michael James Binion, 48, passed away at his home in Kennewick, Washington on January 28, 2015. Born in Morton, Washington, Michael was the son of the late Donald 'Butch' Binion and Janice Silva. He graduated from Tumwater High School in 1984, served in the United States Army and was employed by the Tri-City Herald as a pressman. Michael was a hardworking, loving family man who found great joy in spending time with his entire family. He was a genuine, good hearted, kind man whose smile would light up the room. He was always the life of family poker games. With his sarcastic wit and great sense of humor, he couldn't pass up any opportunity to give loved ones a hard time or challenge his nephew to a ridiculous dare to earn money to join in on the poker fun. He also enjoyed road trips and camping. Michael is survived by his wife, Rima Torres-Binion, daughter, Ayla Chérie Torres, mother, Jan Silva, brother, Travis Binion (Angie Binion ), sisters, Traci Silva Johnson (Andrew Johnson) and Melissa Silva. A memorial service and celebration of Michael's life will be held on February 7 at 10:00 am at the Cowlitz Prairie Grange, 5180 Jackson Highway, Toledo, Washington. Reception will follow.
