James Michael Beauchamp was born February 28, 1946, to John. R. Beauchamp and Merle Vivian Wagar, in Morenci, Arizona. He was the youngest of three boys, with older brothers, Tommy, and John. Mike graduated from Kennewick High School in 1964 and attended Washington State University on a baseball pitching scholarship. He was sealed in marriage to Marcia Andersen in the LDS temple in Idaho Falls, ID in 1969.
In 1980 Mike founded Comm-Tech, Inc., a successful two-way radio communications business in Kennewick. From 2016 to 2018 Mike and his wife served a mission to South London for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He has been an active and faithful member of his church, serving most recently as an ordinance worker in the Columbia River Temple until the time of his passing. He lived to serve others, and especially loved ministering to the least, the last and the lost, and to make their lives a little better if possible. He loved good food and good conversation equally, and his quick wit and warm smile were familiar to all who were privileged to know him. Mike is survived by his wife, Marcia; daughter, Michelle; and three sons: Ryan (Kara), Brad (Gloria), and Kyle (Colette), as well as 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
