Mereida (Mery) García Córdova, amada hija, madre, hermana, abuela, bisabuela, a y suegra, falleció el sábado 19 de sep embre de 2026, en su hogar en Benton City, Washington, después de una valiente lucha contra el cáncer. Nació el 6 de octubre de 1946 en Piura, Perú. Su vida fue dura y desafiante, forjando en ella una gran fortaleza interior, disciplina y sabiduría. Estas experiencias la ayudaron a desarrollar una gran compasión, paciencia y caridad. Compar a con generosidad su amor, su consuelo y su sabiduría con quienes atravesaban momentos di ciles. Demostraba su amor por su familia y por los demás tomándose el empo para escuchar, preparando ricas comidas y compar endo abrazos y sabios consejos. Muchos buscaban a Mery por su sabiduría. Siempre se daba el empo para estar presente para quien la necesitara y vivió verdaderamente el más grande mandamiento. Amó a Dios con todo su corazón, con toda su alma, con toda su mente y con todas sus fuerzas, y amó a su prójimo como a sí misma. Mereida se casó con Darío Mendoza el 30 de julio de 1968 en Piura, Perú. Y ellos tuvieron en conjunto 7 hijos: Rosario (Walter), Cecilia, Adriana (David), Mercedes (Richard), Jesús (Doris), Reynaldo (Yazmín) y Andrea (Andrew), 20 nietos, 12 bisnietos, 4 yernos y 2 nueras. La extrañaremos muchísimo, pero su memoria y su legado permanecen con nosotros.

She always made me to be there for anyone who needed her, and she truly lived the greatest commandment. She loved God with all her heart, with all her soul, with all her mind, and with all her strength, and she loved her neighbor as herself. Mereida married Darío Mendoza on July 30, 1968, in Piura, Peru. They had 7 children together: Rosario (Walter), Cecilia, Adriana (David), Mercedes (Richard), Jesús (Doris), Reynaldo (Yazmín), and Andrea (Andrew); 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 sons-in-law; and 2 daughters-in-law. We will miss her dearly, but her memory and legacy remain with us.
