Melissa Sue
Watson
May 31, 1980 — Dec 10, 2024
Melissa Sue Watson was born in Gold Beach, Oregon to Susan Ray and Michael Watson on May 31st, 1980. She peacefully joined her heavenly father on December 10, 2024, in Kent Washington, she was 44 years old.
She was raised in Pasco Washington; however, she found a love for living in the Seattle area. Melissa's proudest achievement was her only child Damian. At times she would work up to 3 jobs to ensure he had everything he needed and wanted, this continued when she became a "Mimi" to her precious granddaughter, Ayla Serenity. Ayla brought a joy and twinkle to Melissa's spirit that was unmatched. If you were to play a highlight reel of Melissa's life, you would see a woman who served as a passionate mother, a devoted "Mimi", a loving daughter/sister/aunt and loyal friend.
You could always count on Melissa to be the life of the party, she never shied away from opportunities to create new memories with the people she loved. Melissa was employed as an accountant by day and waitress by night. When she had time off, you would most likely find her at a Disney event with her granddaughter, hiking with a friend or cooking with a house full of kids. Melissa was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Pasco, where she was baptized and a committed member. There will be a massive void felt in the hearts of many, as she touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Melissa is survived by her son Damian Hill, granddaughter Ayla Serenity, mother Susan Morgan, and very special aunt Sheila Fricke. Brothers Ryan (Erin) Ray and David Morgan. Sisters, Athena Watson, Ashley Anderson and Layla (Isaiah) Perez. Melissa is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was also a bonus mother and God mother to too many to list. Proceeded in death: Grandmother Irene Ray, fathers Rodric Morgan, Michael Watson as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 4th, 2025, at 11am at New Hope Baptist Church, 630 S. Waldemar Ave Pasco WA 99301, reception to follow.
