Maurette C. Patrick passed away unexpectedly at her home on February 12, 2009. Maurette was born January 13, 1963 in Idaho Falls, ID. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1980. She moved to Pasco 4 years ago with her husband Scott and was a homemaker. Maurette was a loving and caring wife, mother and friend. She struggled her entire life with severe asthma which was complicated in the last decade by MS/Fibromyalgia, sleep apnea and diabetes. Although in almost constant pain for the last few years of her life she was always cheerful and optimistic and was the "rock" of her loving family. Her passions in life were taking care of her "babies", which included dozens of adopted dogs over the last 24 years. She also was a member of Calvary Chapel of Tri-cities and enjoyed attending church when her health allowed, and conducting Bible studies every morning at home to start her day. Maurette is survived by her loving husband of 24 years and best friend Scott Patrick, her sons Broc Patrick of Pocatello Idaho, and Christopher Patrick of Pasco. She is also survived by her "babies" Otis, her 200 pound Mastiff, and Gypsy, a hound mix who were both adopted by Maurette while living in Idaho. In laws include Jim and LaRena Patrick of Wyoming, Michael and Leslie Patrick of Texas, Kathy Patrick and Barney Needham of Ohio, and Laurie Patrick and Dan Shinners of Washington and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the Pasco Police Department and Fire Department for their rapid response and compassion.
