Mary Ann Liniger passed away on the first day of Spring, March 20, 2025, at Kadlec Regional Medical Center, Richland, WA, after battling several long-term illnesses in recent years.

Mary Ann was the eldest of 8 children born to William and Constance (Bauer) Mach on September 5, 1938, in Yankton, SD. The family moved to Wapato, WA in 1945, and Mary Ann graduated from Wapato High School in 1957. She met the love of her life, Myron Liniger, on a blind date. Before the date, Mary Ann decided she wasn't going, but her mother insisted that she follow through and the rest, as they say, is history. Myron and Mary Ann were wed on November 14, 1958. They made their home in Yakima, WA and went on to have 5 sons in 10 years.

The family followed Myron's work from Yakima to Edmonds, WA, and they eventually settled for good in Pasco, WA in 1976, when Myron and Mary Ann purchased Ace Portable Toilet Rentals. Myron was at the helm of Ace for more than 40 years with Mary Ann managing the books in the early days. As a busy young mom, Mary Ann found time for a Tuesday morning Ladies Bowling League and on Thursday nights, she and Myron were in a Couples League. As empty nesters, the two enjoyed cruises, casino vacations, and clam digging during visits to their Ocean Shores, WA timeshare.

Mary Ann's true calling was to be a Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma. She and Myron attended as many of the kids' activities as possible when they were able. Her baking prowess was legendary. As recently as the 2024 holiday season, she directed her "staff" of loved ones in the preparation of banana bread and homemade jams for Christmas delivery. She had a large circle of friends from throughout her life with whom she stayed connected – including "The Flakes" – a special group of women who gathered for lunch, laughs, and good times. She inspired deep devotion from those tasked with her wellbeing and received visits from past caregivers up until her last day. She enjoyed going to the movies - the scarier, the better, the Hallmark Channel, carousel horses, angel décor, and a good margarita.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Myron, son Larry Liniger, Larry's wife, Kathy, son Scott's wife, Michele, her parents, two infant brothers - John and Robert, sister – Patsy, and brother – Billy. She is survived by her sons, Scott (Yakima, WA), Brian (San Francisco, CA), John and his wife, Lavina (Kennewick, WA), and Paul and his wife, Dawn (Kennewick, WA); as well as her grandchildren and their spouses, Candice, Alisha (Larry), Josh (Kenna), Michael (Brandi), Ashley, Philip (Alana), Aubrei (Eric), Lucy, Toula, and Emmylou; and her great-grandchildren, Jacob, Joseph, Hailey, Aubrey, Ryker, Emiley, Lilly, Addison, Noelle, Miya, Bennett, Michele, and Juda. Mary Ann leaves her beloved sisters, Connie Rogers (Jim), Kathy Knutson (Nick), and Carol Brackney (Joe) to mourn her passing.

Mary Ann's Celebration of Life will take place at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union Street, Kennewick, WA 99338, on Saturday, April 5, 2025, with a viewing at 10 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. After the service, please join the family for a reception at The Lodge at Columbia Point, 530 Columbia Point Drive, Richland, WA. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Tri-Cities Union Gospel Mission Women & Children's Shelter Building Fund.
