Mary Beth Walker, age 93, of Kennewick passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024, at her home. She was dearly loved by her family and friends.

Mary Beth was born January 22, 1931, to Harris and Mary Elizabeth D'Spain in McLean, TX. She and her younger sister, Margaret, enjoyed spending time together over the years and traveled together often.

In 1956, Mary Beth married Henry Walker in Abilene, Texas. They moved to Minnesota in 1957, then on to Kansas, Texas, Arizona, finally landing in Kennewick in 1973. In addition to being a loving and devoted wife and mother, she was passionate about music earning a Doctor of Musical Arts and teaching music most of her adult life, retiring after 20 years at Westgate Elementary School. As a committed Christian, Mary Beth was a leading member of the Kennewick Church of Christ where Henry was the preacher; she served primarily through teaching and leading fellowship activities.

Mary Beth is survived by her husband, Henry Walker. Children: Wimon (Rosalinda) Walker, Winette (Stephen) Riesenweber, and Weston (Rosita) Walker. Grandchildren: Martin (Tsunami) Walker, Marcella (Ben) Clinard, Marissa Walker, Micah (Sara) Riesenweber, Matthew (Deidre) Riesenweber, Jacob Riesenweber, Austin (Meagan McCollum) Walker, Whitney Walker, Eric Thomas, Arielle Thomas, and Mia-Milagros (Kris) Olson. Great-grandchildren: Leo Walker, Simon Clinard, Lila Clinard, Alyssa Riesenweber, Rachel Riesenweber, Kaylee Riesenweber, William Riesenweber, Elliott Riesenweber, Quinn Riesenweber, Reid Riesenweber, Matilda Walker, Arthur Walker, Amara Olson, and Craighton Olson.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on January 11, 2025, at the Kennewick Church of Christ, 3926 W. Kennewick Ave. In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to consider a donation to a church, charity, or musical organization of your choice.
