Mary A. Flannery

April 18, 1935 – April 10, 2024

Mary was born in Hazen, North Dakota to Helmutt and Hilda Bohrer. She was number 5 of a 6 girl family. She attended school in Riverdale, North Dakota.

In 1953 she met and married the love of her life, Jim Flannery. They traveled around the country following Jim's job in construction. They raised their six children during all the moves. One of Jim's last jobs was at Hanford, which is where they decided to settle down after retirement.

Mary was a wonderful wife, mom and grandmother. She worked at Pasco School District as an Administrative Assistant. She volunteered at Franklin County Elections. She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter BW in Pasco. Mary and Jim were avid golfers. They belonged to the Tri-City Country Club. She loved doing crafts – sewing, needlepoint, painting and quilting.

Mary is survived by her children, John Flannery (Kansas), Sue (Phil) Van Doren (Pasco), Michael (Lori) Flannery (Kennewick), Scott (Karin) Flannery (Benton City), and Kati Flannery (Kennewick), 9 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She is preceeded in death by her husband Jim, son Kevin, granddaughter Melissa, parents Helmutt and Hilda Bohrer, sisters Evelyn Keller, Ruth Link, Alice Kvam, Helen Adams and Ione Schoenwald, and brother-in-laws.
