Mary Sharon Dibbert Rochleau, 86, of Kennewick, WA died April 22, 2026 at Ciel Memory Care in Kennewick after a long battle with Parkinson's. She was born May 14, 1939 to Gordan and Lillian (Kuchynka) Dibbert in Hankinson, ND. After graduating from Hankinson High School in 1957, Mary, with a sense of adventure, made her way to California to work for Hires Root Beer as an office girl. After a time back in Hankinson and then Fargo, ND, she made her way to Minneapolis, MN. It was there that she met and married Richard Rochleau, on December 30, 1961, after 52 days of courtship.

Together with their five young children, Richard and Mary moved to Lansing, Michigan and then halfway across the country to Kennewick.

Mary is survived by her five children, Tori Rochleau-Rice (Michael) of Shoreline, WA; Rick Rochleau (Cindy) of Pasco; Glen Rochleau of Kennewick; Rhonda Rochleau of Maple Valley, WA; and Ken Rochleau (Rejeana) of Kennewick; and eight grandchildren Richard, Nichole, Ryan, Emma, Elsie, Kathryn, Braydon and Elizabeth. Also surviving are sisters Ginny Rick and Judy Dibbert of Wahpeton, ND as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Janet Herbes of Cedar, MN and brothers Roger Dibbert of Coon Rapids, MN and James Dibbert of Hankinson.

In addition to caring for the needs of her large family, Mary was the personnel manager for Kmart for many years. She cherished family gatherings and enjoyed spending time at the family mountain cabin, taking road trips across the country with her husband, and cheering on the Mariners. She also used her creativity and seamstress skills to make beautiful clothing, quilts and home décor for her family and friends, and her culinary skills to bless others, especially with the Pie Nights she hosted for the mountain community at the family cabin each year.

She impacted many lives and will be dearly missed. Mary will be laid to rest beside her husband in a graveside service at Desert Lawn Memorial Park at 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 20, 2026.
