Mary E. Barnhart, 86 years old. She passed on October 23, 2026 in Kennewick, WA. Born to Robert and Ella Benedict on August 23, 1940 in Walla Walla, WA.

She was a home maker. She lived with family members and helped care for them and their family.

When her sister Goldie died, Mary took in her 5 children. She loved them and called them her own children.

Her favorite time was helping her family and cooking and baking.

The last 2 years most every Saturday, she made cookies, pies and cupcakes with her nephew Timmy Vanderpool.

She leaves behind daughter Janet Esters of Kennewick, son Rick (Kim) Esters of Kennewick and [crossed out text] one brother Jim (Midge) Benedict of Pahrump, NV. 19 grandchildren 41 great grandchildren, 8 great great-grandchildren

She was proceeded in death by her parents Robert and Ella Benedict, her husband Terry L. Barnhart, sons Jim Esters, Larry Esters, and Terry M. Barnhart daughters Goldie Gutierrez and [crossed out text] Dawn Victoria, 3 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and 1 great grandson.

On November 2nd there will be a graveside service at 11:30 at Desert lawn Memorial 1401 S. Union St Kennewick Following the service there will be a potluck at 124 N. Perry St Kennewick.
