Mary Lou Arent, age 81, passed away peacefully in the early morning of Thursday, December 27, 2018. Mary Lou was born May 10, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to Charles Bartlett and Amelia Sanderson. She met her husband, Michael Arent Sr., at the University of Michigan. She married Michael Sr. on June 14, 1958. The family moved to California in 1971 and later moved to Kennewick, Washington in 1991. Mary Lou is survived by her five children: Coleen Woo, Katie Clausen, Chuck Arent, Rich Arent, and Mary Elsethagen. Mary Lou or "Grams" is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and her sister, Michelle Raptis. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Michael Sr. and her son Michael Arent Jr. Mary Lou found her happiness in serving others and being surrounded by loved ones. She will be missed by many of the people she has helped and touched over her life. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Saturday, January 5, 2019, 10:00am, at The Parish of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7409 W. Clearwater Avenue in Kennewick. A memorial mass, also at the church, will be held at 11:00am Saturday, January 5, 2019.
