Marvin York was born in Rogersville Missouri October 27 1937 to John and Bessie York. They were orchard worker and followed where the work was plentiful. They landed in Oroville WA where the apples were abundant. Marvin graduated from Oroville Highschool. He was always wanting to head to the big city. He moved to Southern California and worked in retail. Marv was admired for his guitar playing and singing. He had an amazing voice. He created a group called Marv Raye and the Shenando. He played nights and weekends. He met the love of his life at one of his performances. They were married in 1960 and later had 2 daughters. Ranae and Darla. They had a son Allan that sadly passed away shortly after birth.

Marv had many talents. Of course, his music along with retail, management, flower arranging, and sales in which he always won top sales in every contest. Marv is most remembered as his position The Richland Chamber of Commerce President. He helped launch so many activities, fund raisers and events for Richland Washington. Marv was known for his eye for detail and his organizational skills.

Marv lost his first wife, Phyllis in November 2002. After some time on his own, he met his second wife Cely Bickle. They loved to sing Karaoke and watch movies.

Marv always had his 2 daughters by his side. They all loved to laugh. They called him marvelous Marv as he always loved to look his best top to bottom.

Marv was proceeded in death by his parents John & Bessie York, sister Freda Brott, brother-in-law Bud Brott, wife Phyllis York, wife Cely York and baby son Allan York

Marv leaves behind his two daughters Ranae Delarm and Darla Cravens. Son in laws, Don Cravens and Chris Delarm. Grandchildren, Kyle Cravens, Crystal Norris, and Christina Bingle and 8 great grandchildren

Marv will be missed greatly
