Obituary

Marjorie Highley, 82, of Kennewick, Washington, passed away peacefully on February 3rd, 2023.

Born October 25, 1940 in Clifton Hill, Missouri, Marjorie received her high school diploma from Kennewick High School in 1958. She then went on to join the army and serve as a nurse, tending to the medical needs of veterans returning home from the Vietnam War.

She is survived by her brothers Jerry and John Ehrhardt, her children Timothy Perico, Michael Highley and Matthew Highley, as well as nine grandchildren, Chantell, Remle, Ashton, Kaydince, Mattilynn, Emma, Rhozie, Carmin, and Evalina.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce; mother, Ethel; father, Paul; brother, Ralph; and sisters, Mildred and Linda.

Marjorie was a woman of strength and character, with a strong will and quick mind. She was unbothered by the opinions of others and lived life on her own terms. Marjorie was an avid reader, devouring books and constantly expanding her knowledge and understanding of the world. Her love for literature was matched only by her love for writing letters to those she cared about. Marjorie's greatest joy was her family and friends. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply and was a loyal friend to many. Most importantly, Marjorie was a faithful servant of God, living a life devoted to her faith and the well-being of those around her. She will be remembered as a shining example of compassion, strength, and unwavering devotion. Her kind heart, infectious laugh, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family of Marjorie extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Chaplaincy Hospice House.

A service to celebrate Marjorie's life will be held at a later date.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27
