Our precious Mom, Marion Frances Byrne (Neilson) passed peacefully into the hands of our Lord early Wednesday morning.

She was born to Dr. Clive Neilson and Olive (Shuttleworth) Neilson on December 29, 1935 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She grew up there and on her grandparent's farm in Bradwardine, Manitoba.

She went to school at the University of Manitoba and received a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics. After that she interned at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.  She met and married John G. Marty there. They had three children.

In 1971 she moved to Pasco, Washington and married Joe E. Byrne and later they moved to Kennewick where she still resided.

She worked as a dietitian at Our Lady of Lourdes in Pasco, St Mary's in Walla Walla, and as a contract dietitian for several of the local and regional nursing homes.  Later she worked for WIC in Othello and La Clinica in Pasco.

Marion was an artist and belonged to Beaux and Allied Arts in the 1980's.  She also taught painting classes at Columbia Basin College.

She was a wonderful Mom to her three children who survived her - Pamela Kruschke (DeLayne), Ginny Huebner (Corey), and Thomas Marty (Lynne).  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and two great, great granddaughters. We love you Mom. Rest in peace.
