Marilyn Claire "Bitsy" Holle, 87, of Kennewick, Washington, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, in Kennewick.

Marilyn was born on May 31, 1938, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Walter A. Holle and Marie E. Holle (Pollreis). Lovingly known throughout her life as "Bitsy," a nickname given to her by her mother because of her small size as a child, she carried that name with her through every stage of life.

Marilyn spent her entire professional career as a flight attendant for United Airlines, retiring in 2001 after many years of service. She loved the adventure and independence that came with travel and enjoyed the friendships and lively social circles that followed her wherever she lived.

Following retirement, Marilyn spent many happy years living in Langley, Washington, on Whidbey Island at the Useless Bay Golf Course and Country Club. Golf was one of her great passions, and she spent countless hours on the course enjoying both the game and the company that came with it until she was no longer able to play.

Marilyn also volunteered for many years with the Good Cheer Food Bank in Langley, quietly giving her time to support her community.

Bitsy was known by her family and friends as an independent, no-nonsense woman with a sharp wit and a memorable sense of humor. She was direct, practical, and fiercely self-reliant throughout her life. Those who knew her best appreciated her honesty, her dry humor, and the unmistakable personality she brought into every room.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Walt and Nancy Holle of Kennewick, Washington and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Pat Barrett (Holle).

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Parish of the Holy Spirit in Kennewick, Washington. A Rosary will precede the Mass.

Marilyn will be remembered for her independence, sense of humor, love of golf and travel, and the unique spirit that made "Bitsy" unforgettable to those who knew her.
