Marilyn Elaine Buckles was called home to her Heavenly Father on August 20, 2025.

She was born April 14, 1951 to Byron and Lydia (Schmierer) Buckles in Auburn, WA. She graduated from Pasco High School in 1969 and continued her education at Columbia Basin College, earning her associates degree. She held a variety of employment positions, her favorite being at the Benton County Auditor's office.

She was a devout Christian and Bible scholar, diligently studying the Word with Women's Bible Study groups throughout the Tri Cities. Marilyn was a dog lover, rescuing many small dogs in her life and cherishing their companionship. As a dedicated 12th man fan, she watched every Seahawks game. In retirement she often volunteered her time to the church, and spent time with friends at water aerobics.

She is preceded in death by her parents Byron (Carol) Buckles, and Lydia (Howard) Hunter. She is survived by her brothers Roland Buckles of Las Vegas, NV and Don (Debby) Buckles of Kennewick, nephew Don Haima, nieces Delanya Savage, Nicole Kobelski, and Kelsey Buckles Ellis along with numerous great nieces and nephews. We will miss her dearly, but take comfort in the fact that she is reunited with many family and friends in Heaven.

A celebration of her life will take place at Hillspring Church on Tuesday, September 16th at 11:00 AM.
