Surrounded by her family, Chris passed away peacefully on February 10th. Chris was born in Norfolk, Virginia on April 30, 1927. She delivered mail on the Navy base where she met her future husband, Wallace Lair. They married on April 19th, 1944. She left Norfolk and moved to the Northwest later following her husband to Guam. After the war they returned to Kelso, Washington where they lived until moving to Kennewick in 1964. During the Viet Nam war she was active in the VFW, as she had two sons serving there. She later was a volunteer at the Kennewick Senior Citizens for over 20 years. She is survived by her son Don Bobbie of Kelso, WA, daughter Karen Dopps of Pasco, WA, son James Connie of Kennewick, WA, son Curt Veronica of Richland, WA. Her grandchildren Brooke Michael Marshall, of Kennewick, WA, Wally Jill Lair, of Kelso, WA, Syndi James Pearson of Kennewick, WA, Brandy Jeff Drettwan of Burbank, WA, Ashley Tyler Tompkins of Pasco, WA, Alyssa Lair of Kennewick, WA, Amburly Lair of Kennewick, WA, David Lair of Huntington Beach, CA and Sean Lair of Castle Rock, WA; Great grandchildren Taylor-Rose and Rianna Marshall of Kennewick, WA, Jessica and Hannah Lair of Castle Rock, WA, Canon Pearson of Kennewick, WA, Gavin Tompkins of Pasco, WA, Aubree Ducat of Kennewick, WA and a new great grandchild due in July, sister Joan Bill Harmon of North Carolina. Chris was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Lair in August 2004, son, David Lair in February 2004, granddaughter Dawn Lair, grandson Todd Dopps, her parents John Randolph and Lillie Randolph, siblings Richard, Frank, Ronald, Marie and Jenny.
