Gus Garcia, born May 23, 1936 in Winslow, Arizona, went home to be with the Lord on August 20, 2007. Gus married Katie Montana and together they raised 5 children. They traveled the country extensively due to his military career which provided the family with many rich cultural experiences. While in the service, Gus earned a BS in Management and a MBA at Golden Gate University. After he retired from the military, he went on to work in the private sector. He taught Business as an Adjunct Faculty member at Bethany College. He later worked at Battelle Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and then McCain Inc. Gus dedicated his life to Jesus Christ and served for many years at Kennewick First Assembly of God as a Sunday School Teacher and Board Member. In his free time, he enjoyed reading, spending time with family and being involved with community affairs as a member of the Tri-Cities Retired Officer?s Association where he also served as president.
