Lynnette Kay Dodson, age 63 of Pasco, Washington, passed away on April 30th, 2024, from a long hard battle with COPD. She was born on 03/31/1961 in Kennewick, Washington to Leah Kirk. Lynnette worked for many years as a waitress, manager and owner in the restaurant business making many friends along the way, starting at a young age at The Steak Out, The Top Hat, then waitressing and managing at Joey's 1983, and lastly owner of Sneaker's Pub.
Lynnette married Duane Dodson in 2004 until his death in 2012. Lynnette was an avid book reader, her favorite author was Danielle Steele, she had shelves upon shelves of Danielle Steele books, and sometimes three of the same title without knowing it. She also enjoyed cross-stitching such as, pillowcases, table runners or full pieces that she would place in picture frames and hang on the wall. Lynnette also enjoyed putting puzzles together from easy to the most difficult ones, but her all-time favorite was diamond art. Her most favorite diamond art pieces were the one's she could give away to family and friends as birthday or Christmas presents.
Those who knew Lynnette also knew she had a competitive side, that is if they were brave enough to play Cribbage or Mexican Train. She enjoyed beating the pants off anyone who wanted to play or try, including her children and grandchildren who she taught how to play, and she did not go easy on them.
Lynnette is preceded in death by her husband Duane Dodson,Grandchildren Vanessa, and Micah. She is survived by her five children Zaunette, Kristina (Manuel), Debra, Michael (Rachel), and Kelly (Sara), Mother Leah, siblings Tammy (Charlie), Debbie, Dawn, Nechole, Kelly (Penny). She is also survived by her many grandchildren: Ty, AJ, Erika, Manny, Chris, Zara (Gene), Ava, Austin, Abby, Farrah, Michelle, Oliver, Elliott, Walter, Gustav, Philip, Liliana, and Lorenzo. And many nieces and nephews.
