Born June 29, 1917 in Curtis Nebraska to George and Judith Cole the oldest of six children. Passed away February 24, 2011 in Gilbert Arizona. Married Byron Bub Clark Wollam in Stockville Nebraska in 1934. They were married for over 50 years. Preceeded in death by husband Bub, sister Audrey, sister Darlene, children Jack and Janet, son in law Bill Otey, granddaughter Debbie Wollam, great great grand son Caleb Sadler. Survived by brothers Grover , Gene, and Dick, daughter in law Colleen Wollam, son in Law Ed Brophy, grandchildren Brad, Gerry, Lance, Penny, Dale, Dean and many grand and great grand children. Lucile grew up in Stockville, Nebraska and eventually moved to Salt Lake City, and then on to the Tri Cities where she and Bub built their retirement home we lovingly called the funny farm. The animals became a part of their family. Sharbie, Bessie and Jessie to name just a few. Lucile also worked for Sears Roebuck for over 27 years. Lucile lived a long and very active life. She loved cooking and entertaining for her family and friends. Her chocolate cake was the best. Her homemade pickles were so fantastic that it became a battle each thanksgiving to see who would get a bottle of them. Most of all, grandma will be remembered for the love she showed to her family. She never forgot a birthday or Christmas or special event in someone's life. She was never too busy to spend a few minutes on the phone just to visit. Grandma was meticulous in her recordkeeping and kept track of every guest who came to her home to visit. She kept a little black book of all of her guests and their favorite foods, and would make sure to serve everyone's favorites when they visited. Lucile has left her family with a legacy of love and happiness and fulfillment of a life well lived. Grandma was happiest when she was in the company of her family and making sure everyone around her was having a good time and eating lots of good homemade food.
