Louise passed away peacefully on March 19, 2009 at 80 years of age and is now with her Lord. She was born on August 7, 1928 in Forest Grove, Oregon to Otto and Doris Olson. She grew up on a 138 acre farm near Gaston, Oregon where the main product was thousands of turkeys. She enjoyed high school and her valedictorian honor earned her a scholarship to Pacific University in Forest Grove. It was there that she met her future husband, Bob Woolsey. They were married on June 19th, 1949. Following the honeymoon, they moved to Berkeley, California to further schooling. Louise worked for the City of Berkeley as a Personnel Administrator. Louise and Bob were blessed with 4 daughters: Kathy Crandall, Umatilla OR; Margaret Ralston, Idaho Falls ID; Nancy Kelly, Bend OR; and Patty Huisman, Portland OR. They have 9 grandchildren and almost 3 great-grandchildren. Louise spent many years employed by General Telephone now Verizon as both a telephone operator and an executive secretary. She was actively involved in several church choirs, as well as many other church programs. She was a leader and advisor in Girl Scouts. Louise was always willing to help whenever and wherever needed. She was greatly loved by those who crossed her path. Louise is survived by her husband, all daughters and grandchildren. Her family wishes to thank all of the staff of the Canyon Lakes Restorative and Rehabilitation Center for the excellent care afforded her during her stay there. Services will be held on March 27t h at 1:00 PM at Fuiten, Rose and Hoyt Funeral Home on Pacific Avenue in Forest Grove, OR. Family graveside services to follow immediately after.
