Louise M. Smith, 91 of Kennewick, passed away February 12, 2015 at Trios Southridge Hospital. She was born August 8, 1923 in Selby, South Dakota to Nels and Rose Anderson. She married Lyle in August 23, 1946 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She had a mini farm at home, taking care of her chickens, ducks, and turkeys; sometimes a rabbit or two. Louise worked for many years as a retail clerk for Campbell's and Mayfair Markets. She enjoyed playing pinochle, bowling and fishing. She is survived by her children Sylvia Alvis of Kennewick, Perry L. Smith (Bobbi) of Redmond, Washington, Sheila (Gary) Courtney of Roy, Utah; grandchildren Tami Reithmayr of Kennewick, Tonja Alvis of Albany, New York, Tina (Tim) Cook of Benton City, Carrie Ann (Russ) Reed, April (Patrick) Barrett, Jason Dean Courtney (Hope) all of Utah, Corey (Tiffany) Smith and Joel Smith, Washington; great-grandchildren Ashley and Kurt Reithmayr, Braxton, Madison and Taylor Reed, Boston and Courtney Barrett, Tanner and Brittnee Cook, Jesse Smith, Cruz and Jagger Smith, Shane Dean Courtney; daughter-in-law Cheryl Smith Squires of Spokane; and only surviving brother-in-law, Perry Smith. Informal memorial services will be held Saturday, February 21st, 2015, 1:00 p.m., at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2505 W 27th Ave., Kennewick.
