Loree Munson passed away January 16, 2020 in Corvallis, Oregon at the age of 89 years. Loree was born on January 8, 1931 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Jasper and Mattie Galloway. As a young child her family moved to Kennewick and she attended schools through 9th grade. She went to high school in Riverton, Wy and Richland, Wa but stayed in touch with friends from Kennewick and attended KHS Class of 1949 Reunions. On August 19, 1951 Loree married Frank Munson. They lived in various places in Washington and Oregon during their 58+ years together. After Frank passed away, Loree moved to Corvallis to be close to her daughter Jolene and her family. Loree was a devout Christian involved in church activities wherever she lived, she worked in various school districts, she was the owner of SpringCrest Drapery in Wenatchee and Kennewick, and she loved workIng with the refugees through World Relief in the ESL Program in Kennewick. She had a passion for sewing, she was friendly to everyone and she enjoyed traveling. Loree was preceeded in death by her daughter Gaydene in 1959; her Dad in 1967; her Mom in 1994; her great-granddaughter Lachen in 2001; her Husband in 2010 and her son Mike in 2017. She was also preceded in death by her sister Lou and husband Stan Baker, brother Ed and wife Arlene Galloway and brother Jay Galloway. Loree is survived by her daughter Marylou and husband Ray Smith from Spokane, Wa; her daughter Patty and husband Gary Cole from Dodgeville, Wi; her daughter Jolene and husband Mark Latz from Corvallis, Or; Mike's wife Carol Munson from West Richland, WA; 9 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren. A Memorial in memory of Loree's life will be at a later date.
