Elaine Cochrane passed away quietly in her sleep on June 3, 2007. She was born December 9, 1926, in Walla Walla, where she lived until she married and moved to Richland in 1947. She raised her family in the Tri-Cities and then moved to Spokane in 1970. She moved back to Pasco in 1982. Elaine enjoyed reading, the Mariners games, flowers, and spending time with her family. She volunteered for Consumer Credit Counseling when she returned to Pasco in 1982, and after her retirement she began volunteer work at the Pasco Senior Center. She was very dedicated to the Senior Center, doing income taxes, and calling on people unable to get out. She also enjoyed their exercise program, playing cards and dominos. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and her sister and friend, Vivian Wright Thorne. She is survived by her children, Kathy Clark, Bobbie Davis, Rob Cochrane, Pat Cochrane, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held June 18, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Desert Lawn Mausoleum, at 10th Avenue and Union Street, Kennewick, WA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Elaine's name to the Pasco Senior Center, 1315 N. 7th, Pasco, WA 99301 Elaine will be missed by all.
