Obituary

Linda LaVon Jaeger, age 70, passed away September 16, 2012, after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer surrounded by her loving family at her home in West Richland. Linda was born June 3, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Linda graduated from Kennewick High School in 1960, and lived most of her life in the Tri-Cities. On April 20, 1963, Linda married the love of her life, Miles Jaeger. They raised two sons, Con and Mark Jaeger, which provided four beautiful grandchildren. After the passing of her son Mark in 1997, Linda and Miles had the opportunity to raise his children, Shanlyn and Dylan, now 19 and 15 respectively. Linda started a career in credit right out of high school and worked for a number of businesses in the Tri-Cities and the San Francisco Bay area during their six years residing in Livermore, California. During Linda's career she was president of both the Tri-Cities Credit Women International and the International Consumers Credit Associations. She was also voted the Outstanding Credit Women of the Year and Outstanding Consumer Credit Professional of the Year. Linda was also very active in politics, servings as a Precinct Committee Officer until the cancer forced her to step down. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and LaVon Baddley; son, Mark; brother, Ernest 'Cordy' Baddley; Sister-in-law, Bea Baddley; niece, Niki Baddley Vandergriff; and Nephew, Shaun Gier. Linda is survived by her husband, Miles; son, Con Lori of Spokane; brother, Elwyn Vi Baddley of Kennewick, WA; sister, Darla Vance of Kennewick, WA; grandchildren, Lacey, Shanlyn, Nevada, and Dylan Jaeger; 8 nieces, 6 nephews; as well as many friends. A viewing will be held at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union, Kennewick, on Friday September 21, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at 12 p.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4500 Paradise in West Richland, WA. Graveside service will be held following the funeral service at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 10th and Union in Kennewick, WA.
