Linda Diane
Irby
Aug 26, 1955 — Jun 8, 2024
Linda Diane Irby, a cherished mother to Jeremy (Jennifer) Irby, from Pasco, peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024, after bravely fighting cancer, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 26, 1955, in Moses Lake, Washington to Orris and Alene Hansey. Linda was the youngest among her siblings, Gary Hansey, Merry (Dave) McKenzie, and Debbie (Dennis) Somers. She had a special bond with her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews whom she adored spending time with.
Linda had a passion for gardening and her home was adorned with stunning flowers outside and lush house plants inside. When she wasn't busy taking care of her garden, she would enthusiastically support her favorite sports teams. The Seahawks were her go-to team to cheer for, but she was currently backing the Dallas Mavericks in their quest for the championship. She worked for Rite Aid for 30 years and made many special friends from there that she loved to spend time outside of work with. In her free time, she enjoyed visiting the ocean and going antique shopping with her close friend Trish. She loved to spoil her granddog Rocky the most with treats she would hide all over the house and take on numerous walks by the river.
Linds's presence will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will always be cherished, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, June 22nd at 2:30 PM at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1401 S Union St. Kennewick, WA. There will be a reception to follow at Life Tributes Center (Chapel of the Falls) located at 314 West 1st Ave Kennewick, WA from 3 to 5 for all to gather and share memories of Linda.
