Leroy Ganser of Kennewick, Washington, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, at the age of 92, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Leola, South Dakota to Leo and Eva Ganser and lived a life marked by family, faith and friendship.

He married his high school sweetheart, Ruth Job, and together they built a loving family, raising four children: Stewart, Sharon, Tamara and Tracey. In 1954, the family settled in Sunnyside, Washington, where he began a career in home construction before establishing Ganser Real Estate, which he owned and operated for more than 40 years.

Leroy treasured the many hiking and camping adventures he shared with his family, including climbing Mount Adams and Mount Hood. He enjoyed playing cards, sharing stories, and bringing laughter to those around him. Known for his charm and authentic nature, he is remembered for the joy and friendship he brought to so many lives.

His love of woodworking remained constant throughout his life. During retirement, he dedicated countless hours to refining his craft and expressing his creativity through woodcarving. His remarkable work included building two carousel horses from the ground up and restoring nearly a dozen horses for the Bickleton Carousel.

Leroy is survived by his beloved wife of 73 years, Ruth Ganser and his children: Stewart Ganser (Marilyn), Tamara Weaver (Alan), and Tracey Bernardo (Lenny). He is also survived by grandchildren: Matthew Ganser (Allegra), Lindsay Lopez (John), Nicole Syverson, Kyle Beaulaurier (Morgan), Kelsie Taylor, Ian Bernardo (Alejandra), and Sydney Bernardo and great-grandchildren: Olivia Lopez, Ethan Lopez, Dominic Lopez, Colt Beaulaurier, Easton Beaulaurier, Jace Beaulaurier,

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Eva, sister Marge, brother Roger, daughter Sharon and grandson Ryan.
