Lee Kimball was born on July 31, 1940 in Hyde Park, Utah to Leonard and Delma Kimball. Lee met and married the love of his life Josephine Miera in Salt Lake City on February 25th, 1959. The following year, they welcomed the birth of their first son, Jerry. He was soon joined by his little brother Tony in 1961. Seven years later they welcomed their daughter Robin in 1969. In 1962 Lee entered an apprenticeship program and became a Pipefitter/Welder. Lee traveled and worked in various states including Idaho, Illinois, Utah, and Wyoming. In 1978 Lee followed his brother David to Tri-Cities which became their home. Lee became a proud member of Local 598 Pipefitters in 1980. Throughout his 38 year career of being a Pipefitter Lee's pride for his occupation and the union grew. Lee's first passion was his love for fishing. Whether he was fishing for Halibut in Alaska or Sturgeon and Salmon on the Columbia, he was at his happiest and never wanted to get off the water. Lee Kimball passed away surrounded by his family on August 19, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Throughout his battle, Lee never complained and always smiled. Lee grew strength in his toughest moments and he refused to succumb to pain from the cancer; his courage is admired by all. Lee is survived by his wife Jo; children Jerry Kimball, Tony Kimball, and Robin King; special sons in-law Jake King and Jackson Davis; Grandchildren Kristy Davis, Candi Kimball, Erin (Marcus) Vasquez, Jeremy Kimball, Shannon Kimball, Savanna (Adrian) Garcia, Elise (Jesse) McNair, and Tanna King; Great Grandchildren Amaya, Alivia V., Kail, Atticus, Alivia D., Gage, Mia (and soon to be Golden). Lee is also survived by his baby sister Joyce Jackson as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Sister Erma Kunz; Brothers; David Kimball, Golden Kimball, Delmar Kimball, and LaFell Kimball; and brothers in-law Lloyd Kunz and Dale Jackson. We would like to thank everyone who has supported Lee and our family throughout this difficult time and a special thanks to Dr. Tan, Dr. Hong, and Dr. Ness for their compassionate care. There will be a celebration honoring the life of Lee Kimball on Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 1-4pm in the banquet room at the GESA Carousel of Dreams located at 2901-F Southridge Blvd in Kennewick. Our father, grandfather, great-grandfather was the strongest man we've ever known and we are so thankful he was the rock of our family and that we learned and gained strength and love from him.
