Leon "Mac" McAlister entered into rest on April 8th, 2012. Leon was a loving father, son, brother, cousin, grandpa, uncle and friend to many. Leon started out his journey in life August 9th, 1952 born to J.D. McAlister and Ann Wuester. He served his country in the Army and was stationed overseas. Leon was a hard worker who worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He always put everyone else's needs before his own and was always willing to do whatever he could to give someone a hand. In 1979, his pride and joy, his son Travis was born. In 1989 he married the love of his life, Sharalyn Schmaljohn who preceded him in death. In marring Sharalyn he became the stepfather to twin boys, Gale and Dale Bates. Leon is survived by his son, Travis McAlister Stacey, parents J.D and Lois McAlister, mother Ann Wuester, brother Wayne McAlister Tammy, David McAlister Brenda granddaughters Chantel and Cianna McAlister, and his beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
