Larry Ward's Obituary,

Born in Bellingham, Washington October 15 1938 to LaVerne and Velma Ward.

In 1949, the family moved to the corner of Chumstick and Eagle Creek outside of Leavenworth. The oldest of 6 children (Larry, Donna, Pat, Gail, Bryan, Roger), Larry played football, basketball, and ran track in high school. He was named athlete of the year his senior year at Leavenworth High School. He went to EWSC to run track and met his wife Bette through a classmate that lived next door to her at WSC.

Bette and Larry were married on August 23, 1959 and they moved to LaGrande, Oregon where he attended EOC. He later earned his degree from Oregon State University. He was first employed with the IRS in San Francisco until he was drafted into the Army on his birthday. After training at Fort Ord and Fort Sill he was sent to Darmstadt, Germany. Bette joined him in Germany for 18 months until his unit was sent back to Fort Lewis Washington. During their time in Germany they were able to travel to France, Spain, Italy and Austria. Upon completion of his armed services he returned to the IRS in San Jose, CA.

Larry transferred to Pasco, WA in 1966 as the lone field agent for nine years. He then joined a CPA firm, following that formed a partnership for 10 years, and then became a sole proprietor until 2007. Larry's many hobbies included fishing, model railroading, collecting Hallmark ornaments, gardening, feeding the birds and agate hunting. He was an honored member of the Kiwanis Club of Pasco for over 35 years. He spent time traveling with longtime friends and his favorite areas were along the Oregon Coast. The family's special holiday was Thanksgiving, often spent at Oceanside, Oregon.

Larry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bette; daughters, Julie (Stacy), Sherri (David), Ginger; grandchildren, Nikita, Ricardo, Cameron (Anthony), Sammantha ,Victoria; and one great-grandchild on the way.

At his request he has been cremated and there will be no service.
