Obituary

Kimberly Lynn (Zacher) Rotter age 57, of Kennewick, WA, passed away June 11, 2024, at Trios Medical Center, Kennewick, WA, from Heart Failure. Kim was born at Kadlec Hospital, Richland, WA, August 7, 1966. She was the first of three children for Don & Irmagene Zacher. Kim lived in Pasco for many years. She was a Pasco girl at heart, having attended Mark Twain Elementary, Isaac Stevens Junior High, then graduating from Pasco High School in 1984, a proud Pasco Bulldog.

Kim was an avid animal lover from an early age, occasionally bringing home a 'stray or ten.' Our mini-farm inherited hamsters, a toad, chickens, rabbits, a goat, a couple of cows, and several horses at various times (not all strays). Kim in her teen years, became skilled in horsemanship, winning several awards in the Western Pleasure Events with her Arabian horse 'Black Russian'. Kim also participated in her youth, in several 4-H Clubs: Sewing, Cooking & Horse Clubs.

Kim took up baton twirling when she was five years old, becoming the mascot for the Tri-City Sun Twirlers for three years, marching in local parades with her Sun Twirler Group. Kim also entered individual competitions. Kim could twirl equally well with both left & right hands and performed in several  'one and two hand' baton events winning a number of awards. Kim made many long time, valuable friends, through her twirling activities, and animal hobbies, besides her many friends from her school days and everyday life.

Kim was a Homemaker all her adult life. She was a loyal and loving mother of six children: Amber, Andrew, Spencer, Amy, Joshua, and Jacob. She was the proud Grandmother of 14. Kim's face lit up whenever the conversation turned to any of her children, or grandchildren. She was the much-loved daughter of Don & Irma, sister of brother Kenny, and to her sister Kippy. Kim had many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. She loved family gatherings such as Birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas and any other family event which were often hosted by Kippy & Jeff, and Kenny, as support host. Kim had a kind heart and a generous soul. She shared her home with many family members and friends.
